1991 Audi Coupe 7A Power Steering Pump Replacement 054 145 165K

I have a 7A in USA. I am looking to replace the power steering pump 054 145 165K, which is unobtainable in USA.

Besides an overhaul kit, what are my options? I am OK with some modifications.

I am looking for a readily available pump that drops in and also one where the + screw up top has some type of a hex head so that I can properly tension it.

Are there replacement pumps from places that can ship to USA?

Email Chris at Force5 in New Hampshire. I emailed him not too long ago about a CQ pump. He likely has one (quoted $200 IICR).

Also, why isn't the overhaul kit sufficient for your needs?

Can someone point me to a good write up, preferably with pictures, on how to overhaul these power steering pumps?
