    Sloppy Feeling

Hi guys, just come back from a bit of a drive to give the new CQ20 a bit of a decent test on some back roads round here.

    One or two observations made........

1, engine smokey prob oil stem seals but hey de ho the engine isn't staying in long,

2, the car just feels sloppy, not as taught as my old CQ20, the back end just wants to come out all the time on tight corners without giving it alot of peddle......
also sounds like there is alot of spring movement (i.e. creaks that shouldn't be there!!)

    So suggestions please,

Am I going down the right track in saying every suspension bush and ball joint needs to be replaced to get the taughtness back!!

Is it worth me just swopping the lot of my old CQ20 onto this one?????

    WSuggestions please or advice.

    Cheers

    Aaron

Must add that it is in such a bad way that I don't feel confident enough in the car to give it alot of loud peddle just in case!!!! Never been like that before in a car!!

creaks usually mean sha**ed drop links at the rear, probably not helping to keep the rear under control much too and probably worn ARB bushes too? Hows the tracking?

Just totalling up what I have in the shed and on the old CQ20,

1 - New wishbones front and rear (rear still in the garage)
2 - RS2 FARB on the old one for a year now
3 - Whiteline RARB still in the box
4 - New front droplinks (same age as the RS2 Front and on the old CQ)
5 - Full set of Subframe bushes (front and rear) new and unused
6 - New topmounts on the front of the old CQ

Worth swapping and getting this lot on aswell as a powerflex rear diff bush???

Ar Will right again, the inside of the tyres is Balder than a racing slick and it is liek that on the outside too, major toe out on both sides, wishbone bushes were shot too, split, so update, this morning I have mostly been (with my housemate martin) removing the front wishbones and ARB and replacing them with the new ones of the old CQ, and with a nice RS2 fARB of the old CQ, replacing the rear wishbones with new ones and also finally attatching the whiteline RARB to something (on the middle setting for now chaps), also done the ball joints all round, and tracked and cambered it by eye, been out for a spin and the thing feels a whole lot better..... Going to get my old wheels back on it as soon as it is tracked fully by the pro's.

Next problem, Drivers foot well is full and I mean soaking with water, so is the rear drivers side??????

Had a look, the seal is not that great but I noticed that the rubber seal that sits under the widscreen sidings is not there??? Could this be the main cause??
