Question about S2 Avant rear upper control arms??

Are there any differences in upper rear control arms between B4 Sedan and S2/RS2 Avant?

I currently have a 1993 B4 90 Quattro sedan. I have swapped the rear suspension to S2 Avant bearing carriers, hubs, axles etc. However, I still have my factory USA spec upper and lower control arms. From everything I can gather, the lower rear control arm is the same compared with the S2 ABY Avant & RS2 but I’m unsure about the upper control arms. Mine are the stamped steel versions. Asking here to confirm as I would rather not have any surprises with alignment when I get back to finish up at my friend’s shop.

I see these part numbers which are most likely the cast (A?) and the stamp steel (B?) versions.

    8A0 505 323 A or B

    8A0 505 324 A or B

It also lists these which are stamp steel too I believe but not sure the other differences.

    8D0 505 323 B

    8D0 505 324 B

I previously had been using B5 hubs in rear.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

I think they are all the same but have different bushes. Audi Tradition list the 8DO version as fitting the 80 from 91, the A4 and the Rs2. I think you are right that cast are A and B pressed. The 8D0 came about when the A4 was launched which shared some parts with it's predecessor. My S2 Avant came with cast version and my Rs2 has the pressed steel. I think you got whatever was in the parts bin in the factory on the day your car was assembled.

Thanks for the reply. I did find the Audi tradition listing for them like you spoke of a few hours after posting this. Made me assume I’m good to go. Make sense about whatever was in the parts bin. Well that puts my mind at ease.
