    Forged arms on the rear?

I am pretty sure I have seen this talked about on here before but I can't find the thread.

Does anyone know for sure if the forged type wishbones can or cannot be used on the rear of a coupe in place of the pressed steel items?

    Cheers

    Forged control arms on rear

The arm will physically fit on the rear. The problem is that the three bolt ball joint location moves the hub carrier out of posistion.

How about get the pressed ones seam welded and beefed up to the max??
I would think they would be as strong if not stronger ??(certainly less brittle)

I actually think that is a good suggestion... Properly welded, perhaps with an section for added rigidity should increase strength of the pressed wishbone.

Yes that is already my fall back plan, I've seen this done before, in fact Jamil has done this with his.

Before I do it though, I'll wait on the the release of the 034 control arms due out fairly soon, and try them out if they are not too expensive.

Mark they are well worth it.

I've no regrets with mine. The car has greatly benefited from them and they are so easy too install and adjust you will wonder why you didn't go for the original sets when they came out.
