    Feeler: Tubular Chromo wishbones

    Guys,

I've bought a wonderfull set of Sport Quattro original tubular wishbones and I'll be replicating these for a friend of mine. Whilst I'm making a jigg for the wishbones, I can produce a couple sets more for the front and the rear. So it will be a kit of 4 for front and back, or a set of 2 for just the fronts.

Now, the thing is the ball-joints. These are different on an S2 and SQ/UR/CQ. I want to have it work on both, So both versions will be available.

The big question is, are there people interested tubular wishbones made from Chromoly steel?

    Regards,
    Jeffry

        Hi Jeffer,

I will have a couple of set dependent on price. Both to fit a UR fitted with s2 uprights if that makes sense.

        Cheers

Sorry for the newbie qustion, but what gain does this do for an s2?
                -The ekstra options for adjustments?

Are we talking much better handling?

                Cheers Jeffer, for doing this!

Indeed axtra options for adjustment. I'm making a version with rose-joints on the subframe side. these then can be dailied in any way you want. As they are completely fabricated it's also possible to weld on the normal rubber bush cartridge. That gives a bit less of a harsh ride.

Chromo is indeed lighter and very strong. It would also be possible to make the in dtainless, but i'd use chromo. Stainless is bloody heavy. And finally they will be powdercoated.

Upcoming weeks I'll be jigging them and calculate a price for them.

As for the UR. Something is wondering me. The SQ has 2 different wishbones on the front. They have different offset compared to eachother. I'll comapre them with the T85-CQ wishbones (wich I still have) to see if these are also different in offset or not.

                  Cheers!

T85-CQ wishbones are not handed they are the same each side, the offset if achieved via the balljoint. HTH's

So those control arms are made from 30 x 2? What size are the rose-joints?

Jeffer my boy if the price is right?....

I might like to get a set for the front for the Coupe Q. BTW the S2 and CQ use the same type of balljoints, correct?
