Ok. So, building a race car here. How much do you guys normally lower your cars? How low can you go? I'm thinking until it's not street worthy anymore. My guess is that 60mm is no problem at all, front and back. True or false? Think with wheels straight.

I had special made coilcovers on mine so there was still over 120 mm travel.

Mine is on H&R springs and the drop is 40mm iirc, the limiting factor as far as i can see is clearance under the cats/exhaust. With this drop i only have 80mm clearance with the road so on max compression on a fast road the car ocassionally comes into contact with the road! Sparks look good at night but don't do the exhaust any favours! Worth bearing in mind!Ragusa Coupe gone!

If you go too far remember that the wishbones might be going over-centre and that will affect the the wheel travel in bump.
If it does go over-centre the wheel will start to move into positive camber as bump travel increases - particularly with the MacPherson strut as the top doesn't move inboard as bump travel increases.
That would be too far IMHO!
Unless you are making completely revised system?
Check the angle of the wishbones when the car is sitting on it's wheels on a flat surface, if the wishbones are pointing downwards toward the outer end that would be ok, but if they are horizontal or pointing up at the outer end, going lower might not make the car work better at all.
