I was fitting my refurbished S2 Coupe rear subframe yesterday. Seems it's bent as the left side front-most mounting point is off by 1-2cm. I've checked it out and it looked good. I haven't been doing anything funny with it, just blasted and painted. Is this normal? That you have to force them in place I mean? Maybe I can bend it back using a porta-power (hydraulic jack used for pressing out big dents and straightening car chassies but what if the wrong part bends? Then it'll be even more crooked...
