  • rear shocks/top mounts

    1. Wheel off,
    2. Undo all fixings to the leg and hub carrier, and move them out of the way (RARB and others)
    3. Undo the two bolts that attatch the Hub carrier to the leg.
    4. Move hub carrier out of the way (will fold forward still attatched to the CV joint)

    5. Mover carpets inside the boot so you can see the top mount.
    6. Undo the bolt at the top of the mount
    7. the whole leg and assembly will be able to be pulled down and off the car, easy to work on now.

    8. Compress the spring.
    9. Remove the castle nut at teh top of the leg holding the topmount in place.
    Remove topmount and spring.
    10. Undo the housing at the base of the strut/top of the leg you will see the screw thread that needs doing. The big thing.
11, replace parts that need replacing and do all in reverse.

Not the most technical description but you should get the idea

    Cheers
    and have fun!!
