Hi, I'm after a seal which is part of the Power Steering system. I'm not sure of the names of the parts so bare with me, but it's a black plastic/rubber seal with a sort of flange so it sits better to make a better seal and it's located at the front of the engine just behind the bonnet catch and is found beneath a big screw/plug with a large + on it. It decided to give-up whilst 15miles from home on the M6 at Jct21 on Monday evening (thankfully Dad's an RAC mechanic so it got a lift home on a flat-bed, which saved some fuel!).
I've loaded some pics onto Photobucket so hopefully from these and the explanation you'll see what I mean. I tried at my local Audi dealer to source one but they could only supply the full set of seals (about 6 in total) at a cost of around £15, which I refuse to pay for a piece which costs no more than a few pence to make and I only need the one. It's got a metal one in at the moment to keep it on the road but I'd prefer a standard fitment part!
So if anybody knows what this parts code number is and where/how I can get one on it's own it'd be much appreciated?
Thanks, Kieron.

It's underneath the rusty'ish looking bolt under the black pipe which comes from under the black plastic cover!

And this is the seal which caused the complete loss of fluid - as you can see from the pic at's about the same size as a £1 coin, but hopefully the value will be less!!!

I liked that, a call on Monday to see how much they can quote me.
