    Re heavy steering

I recently had the passengerside steering rack boot replaced and now my steering is heavy and won't self centre. Can you think of any reason why this would be the case?

i don't think the track control arms have been touched to do this job so i do not know if tracking is the answer- any suggestions / advice would be gratefully received

Lee, it is probably best to have a mechanic inspect it

If it doesn't self-centre anymore, could it be the rack pre-load has been fiddled with?

Can't think why they would have gone near it having done the boot?
Maybe best to get it insepcted?

is this the sort of job that most mechanics could do or is it an audi main dealer job? the boot / gaitor was changed be a so called audi specialist but i am doubting their expertise as time goes by. the car did not go in with heavy steering so why they give it me back that way i do not know.

how tricky is the preload adjustment?
