front anti roll bar bushes

just had my car serviced and been told front anti roll bar bushes & links need changing,standard bushes and links are £70 for pair. Inquired about rs2 bushes links, bushes are same part no but links are different number to s2. does anyone know if they are shorter longer or what? Or any other set up etc: oh yeh car is a 94 coupe

RS2 drop links are steel - the S2 ones are plastic. For me, plastic and suspension don't mix so I fitted the RS2 items

My 3b front and rear drop links were metal? So were the ones that came off. Is it specific to the later models maybe?

David, they changed to plastic, Audi cost cutting.

The RS2 is all steel construction and lasts a lot longer.

They use plastic drop links on Golfs/A3 etc. They always break at some point especially on the higher performance models.

As stick insect says: It's cost cutting.
