20vCQ FARB on rear of s2

After visiting the isle of wight last week picked up loads of knocks from suspension i found rear anti rolbar bush worn badly and need replacing

But i heard about people fitting the farb from a 20v CQ on the rear of a coupe

After looking at it i will need to swop the rear struts side 2 side

What else do i need to do

    What droplinks should i use

read so of the older threads got a bit confused

Make sure it's the same style as the FARB on the S2.

Swap the rear struts left to right, standard drop links work but adjustable ones would be better as the original rear ones are a touch long.

Use the cups and bushes off the front of the CQ.

You'll have to have a play with the routing of the handbrake cable and brake hoses a bit, be careful as the hoses can rub (I got pulled up on it for the MOT).

The CQ should have a 25mm item which on the rear of an S2 coupe will really liven up the handling with the standard 26mm front but could be a little bit too much. You can always swap it for a 24mm item (like mine) if it's too much.

Check the condition of the welds on the struts as they have been known to fail with the increased load of the stiffer ARB.

I did a couple of threads about it if you want to look into all the options and get an
idea of the fitting etc. It's here

Overall a really worthwhile upgrade and quite cheap too.

I'm running Konis with standard springs and it's great for me. I was really pleased with the results and it means that you can get a bit of lift-off oversteer too. Balance is much better although it still understeers on the power.

                i.e. you'll be fine IMHO.
