    H&R suspension kits

just been window shopping for some suspension bits for my CQ,

found this kit for the S2 - has anyone on here had any experience of these kits? (yes i know an S2 kit won't be a straight fit for the CQ )

-50mm sounds awfully low - anyone got any pics of an S2 running that?
seems strange as well becasue the H&R spring kits themselves are -30mm

The link is to Bilstein kits... many are running Bilstein dampers with H&R springs. The dampers are supposed to harsher than the Konis, not sure what springs are supplied with the kits you've linked too though.

KW coilovers were mentioned on a recent thread I started. If I had the money then they were a real contender at £700 for variant 1 and £900 for variant 2, the latter having adjustable rebound damping.

      ah, the link didn't work

I searched against products for audi > S2

      "Product Details
      Manufacturer : H+R
      Category : H&R Suspension Kits
      Sub-category : H+R Susp Kits - Audi
      Application : S2 Coupe to 9/90 (front damper thread M50x1.5) -50mm
      Product Code: H-29-939-1
      Details : Lowers by 50mm
      Price: £660.94 inc VAT

      QUICK CODE: 27H7H

"H&R suspension kits contain a set of lowering springs and set of matched shock adsorbers...... The shock adsorbers are manufactired for H&R to their specification by a highly reputable manufacturer."

So is this shock manufacturer Bilstein then I wonder

this kit is also listed on the H&R website

I don't know why the springs seem lower than the "normal" spring kits (-30mm)

I've got Koni's on my fwd 20v coupe and not been blown away by the damping - but then again i'm not sure i'd want the harshness of Billies for my day to day driver

I think yes is the answer to that. Seem to remember one of th guys on here bought a H&R 'kit' and it was Bilstein B6 dampers and the S2 springs. May even have been Ross the Boss?
