    H&R springs part number.

    Hi,

I've just purchased used H&R (red) springs kit 50311 from a fellow down here. What is bugging me is that all 4 springs have the same P/N on them. From your experience, is that OK. Never done any suspension work on my 90q20v (soon to become s2/rs2 hybrid...) so I don't really know. Also, I'm planning adjustable Koni in front and maybe bilstein on rear. What do you think?

    Thanks

On my S2 coupe I have the same springs all round, according to H&R thats what they are doing for the S2's now since it works better

      Good to know Greg.

Damper wise, from what I've learnt Konis are softer than the Billies. Billies are better suited to track driving, Konis are better for the road but both have their fans.

My H&R springs that I got from a junkyard CQ(along w/ Bilsteins ) all have that same part number 810 22 100VA which corresponds to the part number 50311 listed on their website. I called them to confirm this. Has anyone here had squeaking/creaking issues with H&R? I head that was an issue with them that could be solved with spring isolators. I have yet to try them out on my Coupe since I need to get a few more parts to install them properly along with a rear sway. Hopefully they will be better than my Weitecs with unknown shocks. Is there any way to identify if Bilsteins are Sports or HD without removing them from the strut housing?
