    2.8 V6 Coupe Quattro Suspension

    Evening everyone,

A good mate of mine has an aqua marine V6 coupe quattro. He's had it for the best part of a year now and is desperate to get it's ride height down to perfection.
After becoming increasingly despondant with the availability and cost of coilover kits, we are looking at S2 suspension (the commom use of H&R's plus bilsteins seems the best).

I just want to clarify after reading through quite a few threads that the two cars use the same struts and thus the springs would be interchangable.

Any help on this plus any advice on best combinations for the V6 would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Dan

The S2 and the V6 don't share the same front struts, the shocks are not interchangable, the springs would fit although they would probably be too stiff on the lighter V6, particularly at the front of course.

How much does he want to lower the car by?

H&R do them for the V6 quattro saloon, I can only find springs Coupe V6 fwd listed.
The springs for the saloon are quoted as having a 40mm drop.

          See this page for details.

Further searching on other sites might reveal the product you are looking for.

Eibach do a set for the V6, this is where my money would go, combined with a set of Koni adjustables, pro mounts and some uprated ABBs. Fit an S2 ARB on the front and the V6 ARB on the back.
