    Pro mounts are on !

Defiantly improves the feel of the front end Two and a bit hours to fit.
Worth noting they do raise the front of the car slightly, I'm not to bothered as I'm on H&R greens and have caught the front bumper a few times on ramps.

The groaning noise is still present when making very slow speed left turns, noise comes from the rack area, I believe this is common on these cars ? how can it be defeated ?

    All help appreciated

    cheers

Also swapped the oil and filter today. Gone from synta gold to silkolean pro S and engine is quieter

not the pro mounts is it??? I know poly bushes creak.

have you changed the p/s fluid recently?
Could be air in the system or just a noisey pump?

when turning left the ram retracts and air forced back to the pump or does the ram go the other way? ermm

time for bed methinks too much hardly worth it now though is it?

There are 4 different Pro Mounts that are different thicknesses for race to rally specifications. Same goes for mount savers.

Hmmm sorry for the thread hijack but that is interesting...I have repeatedly tried to bleed the p/s circuit but it is always noisey when turning one way only. As far as I can see there are no more bubbles in the header but is is possible there is another airlock elsewhere?

when i changed the main rad on my ABY I drained all the p/s fluid.

After I refilled it, it started to moan when turning left or right I cant remember now.

I turned on full lock whichever way pulls the ram right in tight then loosened the huge crosshead plug on the top of the pump.

          ONLY A LITTLE!!
Best to shut the engine off and crack it then restart the engine as there can be some pressure there if you miff it up and no one likes a face full of Fluid!!

A few little bubbles came out and hey presto no more moaning.

wish my missus was as easy to stop moaning.

            To confirm

The groaning I got is from the rack when turning left.
You have to turn the steering wheel at exactly the right speed, to fast/slow and it won't make a sound.
Only happens when stationary or moving very slowly, say 5 mph.

            Oh, and its very loud.

            cheers
