rear top strut bushes (blues)

guys, thought I'd ask here because I think the setup is similar suspension-wise to a ur quattro. I've currently got my car in the garage for a spring, shock and bush replacement job. The mechanic has just informed me that the bushes that i supplied for the rear top strut does not fit. As best as I can describe it here without seeing it (I'm at work) is that the bearing that sits in the middle of the bush is in place but there is no rubber bush...WTF is going on here.......... have I bought myself a sierria with a ur quattro bodykit or do I need to find another mechanic?

I had a quick look on etka and I don't think you have the same setup as an S2 on the rear. I know we have the same top strut mounts as the front but yours looks different.
