Theres a couple of ways to disable Servotronic - it was deleted circa 1992/1993...
1 - Disconnect the electrical plug on the steering rack
2 - Disconnect the electrical plug to the servotronic controller under the rear seat. Its on UK drivers side from memory... Don't confuse with Difflock control or ABS...

friggin knew you'd ask that...
There's three things under the seat.
1. In the middle roughly is the difflock controller - obvious by its vacuum hose connections traced blue & yellow that disappear under the floor
2. The ABS is obvious too with individually cabled plugs which connect to wheel speed sensors
3. The Servotronic module
