How long is a piece of string???????
Too many variables - as long as it is tight and there is no play(up/down) on the piston then it is tight..did you clean and lube the threads before tightening??

            Don't do what I did !

            Came to fit the koni's

One side came undone with a big pair of grips no problem, the other proved more troublesome.

The solution I found was to clamp the strut cap in a vice and make some precision hammer blows to the steering arm.

NO NO NO AND AGAIN NO !!!!!!

All was well until I put the reassembled strut back on the car and found the tracking was about 3 miles out, due to a bent strut steering arm

Careful measuring with the tracking gauges and a few more hammer blows and all was well.

            Please learn from my mistake.

            Cheers

Mate,I wouldnt have clouted it with a hammer,BUT its just sitting there asking for it.To say it didnt go through my mind would be a damned lie!

Yep I cleaned the threads meticulously with wire brush, sympathetically due to fine threads.

Funny,I fitted these a while back then had to tighten them again, then again!!Im hoping this hasnt worked lose again. It just shouldnt should it.

Big thx for all yer support anyway!

Ive replaced top mounts, springs new oem, shocks new oem, drop links, poly bushed it.still rattles.flipping thing!handles really well as it was specced with sports suspension new.But guys,I live in the sister-prodding Fens and the roads here are utter clag!Sigh.Motorways are bliss.
