Power steering Rack leaking

Does anyone know of any companys that can recon my steering rack or do a part ex..
Mine seems to be leaking.
Really annoying as I cant see where from.

You can buy a recon kit from Audi for ~£50

Is there fluid buildup by the steering gaiter? I have had a couple of racks leak from there.

Getting it out is the hardest part though

Yeah around the gaitor there's also fluid dropping on the exhaust gives me a heart attack when i seem smoke coming through the grill. Can see a pool on the floor in the mornings . bloody thing.

Unlucky! Sounds like a rack out job!

Here is a guide on reconditioning a Servotronic rack.

Hopefully you can do this yourself. Getting the Rack out though is a task from hell. And thats with the engine out so good knows what its like with the engine in...
