Strut, Top Mount & Wishbone Bush Upgrade

My recently purchased '95 ABY coupe needs its front strut top mounts and lower wishbone bushes replaced, I'll be getting a (reputable audi) mechanic to do the work and they've also quoted me for replacement of strut inserts which they say they'll check the condition of when doing the other work.
I thought I'd upgrade some of these in the process - the plan is to replace wishbone bushes with polyurethane (super or powerflex), I'd like to upgrade the top mounts with Pro-Mounts if I can get my hands on a pair - not sure on my options or any advantages on non-standard strut inserts.

    So a few questions...
    • Anyone know where Pro-Mounts can be purchased? Was hoping to get them sent direct from the US to me in Australia but havent got any response via the website www.vintageaudiperformance.com . Maybe a UK distributor could ship over here?
    • What is the usual service life of strut inserts? Are mine likely to need replacement at 62,000km (38,000mi)

    • What are the options and are there any benefits to fitting non-OEM inserts with no change to springs, etc? - I read somewhere on this forum that RS2 inserts are cheaper? are they a straight swap??

Uprated shock inserts make the ride a bit stiffer with standard springs and are better suited to sports springs too.

Had a look at Axismotorsport.com but they dont have any S2 suspension items on their website at the moment.

But they have some cheap discs...

I have a set of Powerflex wishbone bushes (cast wishbone) type for sale that I didn't need.

PM me if you are interested.

They will be advertised soon anyway. £65 delivered

You should really be matching the dampers with the springs, so if you upgrade the dampers upgrade the springs too otherwise you will be overdamped.
