Wishbone bushes and top mounts - suspension change time

I'm about to change my suspension to KW V2's. My wishbone bushes aren't in a good way so they need to be changed... while I'm there I guess I should replace the top mounts as a matter of course.

Should I be using OEM items or are there major advantages to using aftermarket items?

Suspension is something I don't know too much about..

    Cheers

i had kw coilovers fitted to my avant and they came with their own topmounts.these were not made of the usual oe rubber, they were solid metal. i think mine were varient 2's. they could be lowered upto 80mm!!

Ah ha. So the anodised purple bit with the bolt sticking through it is a topmount then? Hmm.

Just need wishbone bushes then! So is it all about OE or would I be much better getting aftermarket? The car does get used on track.

If your using it hard etc then its worthwhile going to powerflex bushes from what i've heard, I have got them for mine already.

Vagparts do them for good prices.

Definately use some polyurethane or delrin wishbone bushes, i for one can't really see any disadvantage but then i do have solid mounts everywhere else.
