Pretty unique post as its not a wanted ad!
Does anyone have any dimensions for the front and rear hubs. I was interested in the dimension between where they butt up against the bearing to the top face.
Thanks!
Basically where the bottom boss that goes against the wheel bearing when installed to the top of the flange. Put another way, everything that would stick out from the hub carrier if it was installed.
Yep thats sort of what I am after. Guess we would need measurements from one thats not fitted to be entirely accurate.
If you can do the same on the rear just out of curosity that would be great!
Cheers!
Thread revival was looking for a thread for S2/5x112 hubs with measurements and this seemed the best thread to continue with and ask my question in.
I bought some 5x112 hubs if which one is hard to identify, it has no VW/Audi logo stamped in it nor does it have a part number or any stamp at all.
The only thing I know is that it does fit an Audi S2 Coupe rear CV joint and the measurements I have taken below:
- total height 75 mm.
- height up to the backside of the hub 43 mm.
- height up to the frontside of the hub 54 mm.
- diameter of the part that goes into the bearing, 39 mm. with a step to 41 mm. (same as the S2 rear hub IIRC)
Based on the measurements and the pics (hub in question on the left side) does someone have a clue what it can be? naven1.jpg naven2.jpg
I have set of hubs that match the description. I think to took them from 1984 C3 quattro.
Should be 447407615A. Can be found on both axles, automatic fwd and so on.
Probably an aftermarket product.
Oh yes I did, so what did I get: S2 coupe rear hubs (as far as I could check), these hubs discussed above and rear carriers with hubs off an UrS4 or the likes.
