    Arje...

I'm going to speak with Powerflex, try and find out if they have a 'cast' and a 'pressed' set?

Wasn't there someone on here with contacts at Powerflex?

      Spoke wit Powerflex today.

Guy i need to speak with is on holiday until next week...darn.

So next week i'll discuss the rear upper wishbone issue to determine what arms the PFR3-209 kit fits (pressed or cast).

Also a bush for the very lower pivot.

Anders...does the outer bush fit ok for the upper arm? Can you make some simple drawing of the bush sizes in PFR3-209?

        Cheers for that Carlos!

The firm I got the bushes from still have an vacation, so everything is on a holdt untill they get back.

Yes, the outer upper bush did fit like a glove, like everyone else except the one named.

What amazes me is that I cant be the only one with changed bushes and that kind of upper arms? Have done a search, but no info regarding the area popped up.

I changed my bushes today and here is a picture of it. My guess is that they only make this kit for the pressed ones and if you want them on the forged ones you just cut them shorter.

              That's proved it...

PFR3-209 is for the pressed arms only...sorry Anders.

Spoke with PF and we may be able to get a set made for the cast version...so i need some information.

Anders can you see any part no.s on the cast arms you have, 'ur' do the pressed arms have a no.

I also need a cast and pressed arm still with original bushes...guess a wanted post is looming.

                  Chill...

Do you have the pressed steel upper arms at the back?

For the rear subframe would have to contact Superflex and see if they could make a set for the b4.

So in conclusion a full set of subframe and suspension bushes for the b4 chassis does not exist...yet.

Yes they do have a nr printed on them. I also have written up the numbers from the online parts catalouge (rs2 pnr just for comparison) :

                    Audi 80/90/Avant quattro 1993:
                    track control arm / F >> 8C-P-250 000*
                    upper /
                    (3) 8A0505323B

                    track control arm / F 8C-P-250 001>>*
                    left upper /
                    (3) 8A0505324B

                    track control arm / F 8C-P-250 001>>*
                    right upper /
                    4 8A0505185

                    Audi 80 Avant Rs2 quattro 1994:
                    track control arm
                    left upper /
                    (3) 8A0505324B

Numbers printed onto the cast arms on my 1993 s2:
                    Left arm 8a0361c
                    Right arm 8a0361c

I did a search on http://www.vagcat.com/ but did not find any connections to the numbers on my wishbones. I put along an picture off the site so you can see for yourself. The picture itself is identical of both the regular Avant Q and the Avnat Rs2.
                    This is indeed a mystery

I have not got any actual numbers off the rs2 wishbones to confirm this, but maybe some others on here do?

I really appreciate the help Carlos

pressed steel all around. dont mind the rear subframe bushes, as the stock are so big i doubt the can be ruined.

What about the rear dumper on lower wishbone bush? If they are not available i could start the production

What about me sending da money to you, you buying the powerflexes for me, and sending me them? Would you be so kind?

                        .

Agreed, rear subframe bushes are huge and would only degrade in time so you can only tell by taking the subframe off and then checking.

I'll try and get hold of vagparts to confirm prices on your bush set and see if they'll send to Slovenia...can't think why not?

No one does the lower outer bush so i'll have to check on the construction of this one...maybe in the future.

Emailed PF today with some of the pictures in a hope we can get to the bottom of this.

Anders, if your desperate to get the wishbones on the car i think you will have to machine the bushes and sleeves...or find some pressed ones to use!

Will be pestering my local dealer to try and find the cast version and a number...wish me luck.

Got the "wrong" bushes machined, and now they sit perfectly on the car. Did also require two new bolts, so longer ones were bought inn and fitted.

Only got the one side of the bush machined, so you can see at the pic how much is skimmed off. I sadly dont sit on the exact info in how much it was, but i'll do a request if there is an interest for that.

Anyways, I'll fit the new PF bushes once their on the market.
Please do let me know how it goes Carlos

                              End result:

Still trying to find a set of those 'special' cast rear arms...yours might be pretty unique.
