    rear diff center bush change

I have been searching this forum for about an hour now and still can not find anything about this

I need to remove that donut shaped rubber bushing in the D shaped bracket connected to the backside of the rear diff. I could have sworn I saw a write up about this with pictures on this forum or either motorgeek. And of course once I need the write up, i can not find it

So anyway, if any of you guys can help, I really appreciate it.

    cheers!!

Easiest way if you're just changing the rear mount is to seperate the bracket from the diff (4 allen key bolts) and burn the old rubber mount out.

      Use plenty of lube.

Like stiglet said, burn the bush out. Or if it is as cr4p as mine then it will fall out! lol
Dont forget to hack-saw the outer steel ring out. Cut a slot in it so it can shrink, and a hammer and screwdriver/chisel sould get it out. Clean out the mount with some emery paper and insert the new buch with lots of copper grease.

Can be done with the diff still on the car. just drop the rear side of the subframe (2 bolts) and jack up the diff. Fairly easy job.

haha aw man, I have the 034 bushing I am going to put in, i hope my mount doesnt crack too

I was told that I may have to shave the mount down a little, and now I know why. But thanks for the info

and I already have everything out, I just replace my subframe bushing with some superflex stuff, so my diff mount carrier is already removed and waiting the new bushing.

thank guys, Ill let you know how it goes
