  • Too Low?

I think -50mm is a bit too much on the Avant with 235/40R18. LOL!

Is that a Goodyear on there Lee? That looks the nuts, but looks like it may be a bit impracticle, knowing how you drive Would you like to swap wheels!! I have loads of arch space left to fill.

Yep. Bridgestone SO-2s up front but still the Goodyear F1 GSD3s on the back....I can't wait 'till they die!!

The photos don't do it justice. It looks fantastic in the flesh but as you say totally impractical

Yes I did. Shame that. Looks like I'll have to risk it somewhere else then. I want to spec my own geometry and find someone I trust to apply those settings.
I haven't really lowered my car 50mm but I wanted to see if I could get away with H&Rs with the big rims on the tight avant rear arches. I think I can.

Are you still coming in for the arms to be fitted? I can set the tracking on the front so at least it doesnt scrub the tyres out. And i can set the camber on the front too. But only roughly. I have a camber gauge, but im unsure as to how accurate it is, but will get you started. I can give you all the suspension geometry details if you like.

I ended up doing the arms whilst putting the Konis on. The geometry is way out and it feels vague. We did everything but the toe at Greg's garage meet. So all I need is a bit of toe-in setting up for now. I'll pop by Friday on my way home from my vacation?

that's tight. What ET (offset) are those wheels?

18x8 ET35. But the rear tyres (235/40) touched the rear upright so I had to use 3mm spacers on the rear and the balance the looks I used 6mm spacers up front. The problem is unique to the Avant due to the rear suspension configuration and wider rear track means that the rear arches are tight. 225s will fit much better on 18s.

Ok. 3 mm spacers make an effective ET32 on the rear.

I'm going to run 225/45-17 on 7,5" wide rims with ET35. So I guess there will be plenty room left if I want to go lower in the future (stock suspension at the moment).

You'll have absolutely no problems with your setup, even if lowered.
