    front leg bolt size?

Apologies im being lazy, its raining outside and dont particularly want to go get wet to have a look. Can someone tell me if the bolts holding the leg to the hub on the s2 are m14 or 15?
    Thanks

Be careful...there is 75mm and 82mm bearing housing. Depends on MY and car...

so does that mean the hub carriers and and legs are specific to the s2 and not shared with any other models?

                Well...

how long have you got...sorry...it is like that.

My '95 v6q has the same hub carriers as the s2, but the hubs are 4x108!

The hubs on the s2 5x112 are specific to the s2 model alone, coupe, saloon and avant.

God i'm hoping...i checked this only on Vagcat using the s2 hub no. and it only gave the above models.

                Phuh...any clearer?

Right im having a set of kw's built for me. Ive got to send the front legs away so i sourced front legs from a 2.3 10v series 3 coupe as i couldnt find s2 ones and thought they were the same.
Will the 10v legs be m12 or m14?
                  Thanks

                        Anyroads...

Far easier to drill out 12 to 14 on the struts than the hub carriers.

Keep us informed as i'm thinking of this route...when i've pinched some s2 14mm bolt hole struts...

There was a recall to Audi on some vehicles fitted with M12 bolts in early 1992. These cars had some higher grade bolts fitted and I believe this is why from MY1993 all models were then changed to M14 bolts, irrespective of model.

VOSA link to recall (S2 coupe and Avant come under the Audi 80 designation at VOSA) ►►► >>Linky<<
