I heard a few years ago that H&R stopped giving out that information.

Not surprising really as there are a lot of new suspension companies trying to muscle in.

We need someone who works in the industry or something like Universtiy who can measure the Fx plots for lots of springs

I've emailed someone who may know the spring rates already. Will keep you updated.

Sweet. Be good to know if you're going coilovers. Anton got KWv2s but I'm not sure he ever found out what rates he got on there.

I'm not going down the coilover route. No advantage for me to do so I reckon.
However, I've just had some Bilstein Sport dampers fitted and I'm really really pleased

Frankly the car is now driving as it should have done so out of the factory.

The unexpected thing is that although the car sits roughly level, it also now sits about an inch higher, both front and rear with the new dampers. I have already sat both rear shock spring seats on a new groove 20mm lower than before.

I'm currently considering having some custom springs made up and aim to find out what the best spring rate and lowering level will be for my driving style, road surface and car mods etc.

Hence the query about spring rates on OEM, H&R etc. I reckon that H&R at -30mm may be too much for the speed bumps, pot holes and the like round here.....

                  Spring Rates

                  Hey
I am also interested in the OEM RS2 spring rates. I am also looking for the urS6 spring rates to do the comparison.
The urS6 with its stock springs, Bilstein sports and 18in AVUS rims with 235/40s seems to ride so much flatter - fast sweeps and sudden changes in direction are fine.
The RS2 with stock its stock springs, Bilstein sports and OEM 17in Cup1s with Conti 245/40s feels like it has so much more body roll under similar conditions.

I have gathered that I need to do something about the tyres (225/45) but is it generally accepted that the stock RS2 rear springs are not that great??
                  Thanks
