5x112 converision trouble, need help.

Hello!

A am about to do the 5x112 conversion on my 80 quattro. it is a limo, so s2 avant parts should be ok.

But, the problem is on the back of the car, as i dont know what CV joints to get. My stock cv joints have the outer teet pillar to small in diameter, and i dont know it the s2 cv joints will fit on my axle.

Does anybody have an s2 avant rear axle, or rear outer cv joint so we could compare the measures?

no use i am afraid,i have a complete rear B4 setup in the workshop i can measure/take a pic of for you tomorrow if no one can shed light in the mean time.

Hi mate

if this helps......i fitted 5 stud hubs to my F reg Audi 90 quattro......
rear outer cv joint fitted perfectly into the S2 hub.....so i reckon you have no worries there.....i found the problem in front on the gear box where the inner flange was too small for the S2 inner joint

ps used the crs orignal rear driveshafts and bearing housing just changed the bering and hub

yes, i bet the 90 quattro was a 7a. it already has the s2 specs joints. my car has smaller joints and smaller hub housings.

i measured my rear axle, the teeth on the axle are 24.5mm

Hi mate

My F REG AUDI 90 QUATTRO, is the engine code is KV 5 cylinder 10 valve
the rear driveshafts same as S2 ...
my qearbox flanges need changing,for 20 valve gearbox flanges or change to 7A gearbox


Check copy of AUDI PARTS LISTING dopart numbers of inner and outer cv joints

I will be with MattS2 at the weekend and we have an S2 avant shell on his drive with the complete rear suspension still in place. Give me alist of what dimensions you need and I will try to get them sorted for you.

I only need the diameter of the rear axles tooth, where the cv joint connects to. Look at the pic



if the diameter is 24.5mm, it means the the s2 rear cv joint will fit on my axle.
