Warning Light ( ! )

Hi

Does any one have any suggestions to what my problem is.
When I drive over one of the many speed bumps ion York or go over uneven ground the red ( ! ) warning light comes on .
This is the only time the light comes on .
A new bomb was fitted last year and new Audi power steering fluid ( green stuff)

Please help its driving me mad

Over a bump? sound like the fluid level sensor. There was post by Andy Casey about cleaning the cap and sensor IIRC.

When my clutch/brake fluid was low, i'd get the (!) when going uphill.

Another to check is the physical electrical connection on the top of PS fluid reservoir. If mine is not in the right "position" it will randomly alarm. Try moving the connector around.

(I know it is not very scientific, but it worth a try... )
