I'm in the process of building a coupe quattro with a 4.2L ABZ engine. I ditched hydraulic assisted brakes and it's now vacuum assist braking. I've got the low pressure switch from the old hydraulic system, and i've got a new hydraulic assisted power steering pump with the 10mm fitting for the brake system. Instead of using the v6 unit which is old and needs a rebuild I was going to consider adding the low pressure switch directly to the power steering pump. Auto check would work like this right? Would I have to ditch the pistons inside the pump or would it work normal with the brake pistons?
Does this make sense? Are there any catches that I'm not thinking about correctly?
Thanks
Josh
