    Steering Problem!

    Hi all

When I got in the car this morning and started driving I noticed a massive difference in the amount of play in the steering. I can literally turn the steering wheel a few inches in either direction before I get a reaction from the car!!! Has anyone else had this issue? Is it a simple fix?

    Thanks, Ste

Also check the bolts that join the rack to the steering rods. I had this and it was just a simple tighten the things up job (check the tracking afterards too).

Checked your tyre pressures? A nearly flat tyre can make it feel rather odd and vague.

In addition to the above check bottom ball joint nuts and pinch bolts, hub --> strut bolts, rack --> track rod rack bolts and rack mounts
