Hello friend, on my S2 Coupe ABY I need to replace all the 4 shock absorber, front and rear. I want mount a set of front and rear shock absorber for normal road use but also for some track day, ecc. I think to let the original springs on front and rear, because with lower springs than I have problem for go down in my garage and some other places, what do you think about the original springs of the S2 Coupe ABY?
Thanks a lot!

consider adjustable (off the car ) Konis to go with the standard springs, but also add in RS2 front ARB and Whiteline rear ARB, together with "old" S6 Avus rims 8 x 17 with Bridgestone RE050 tyres in 225 x 45 x 17.
This combination should ride well for everyday use in the real world and not be too slack for the odd hour or two on a track?
I have the above on an Avant, but with the addition of H & R springs which lower the car quite a lot and it does look better, IMHO, but unfortunately it does make speedramps and sunken manholes and bad road repairs quite severe compared to a "normal" car, so can't quite have my cake and eat it !
Mu suggestion for your car just my own opinion, others will post theirs for your benefit?
Any photos?
Kind regards.

ARB = Anti Roll Bar or Sway bars as known in some countries.
David in Dublin, Italian cars are only allowed the wheel sizes marked by the manufacturer. For newer cars they list a range of sizes for the italian market but the S2 only was marked with 16" alloys.
So, for better performance on a S2 Coupe I can fit on front the original front RS2 arb and on rear the original RS2 rear arb, without any kind of modifies?
Thanks a lot!

missed that post explaning that restriction. Can he not get around it by converting his car to RS2 spec or it is rigidly enforced and one would need to in an Italian situation buy an RS2 to start with to effectively overcome these restrictions?
What's the postion if he was to buy a ready modded car in Germany with TUV and seek to import it into Italy?
As I say, all of this may have already been covered, but I'm a newbie on less than 500 posts.
BTW, is the restriction only on wheels but not brakes or suspension?
No way around it AFAIK, it has to be on the manufacturer submitted spec sheet listed for the car. Unless that can be changed ( which it can't by a normal consumer ) then they can't run larger alloys even if the car is modded.
"No whiteline ARB as per the original post", it mean that on the rear I can mount only the original ARB that the car already have from Audi? For the rear RS2 arb I know that is different in the Coupe from the Avant, because I have also a RS2 and a S2 Avant
