Only the M12 ones used on the CQ and the rear of the S2 are obsolete - you can still get the M14 ones that are used on the front

I'm sure you could find a high tensile bolt to replace the M12 ones - the dims are:

      M12 x 1.5 x 75 btw.

Thanks for the info, wil get some bolts from a hardware supplier. Hmm maybe they show up as obsolete becase mine is a 3B, does it have smaller ones on the front?
Anyway everything is loosened off, used an impact gun, a shed load of heat, and some of my gentle persuesion. Tommorow i'm should have finished the driverside, as the rest of my parts arrive, the on to the off side, should take as long as I've be applying liberal amounts of penetrating spray as Ive been going along to the other side in anticipation.

        Thanks Michael

you could probably use this as an alternative

          N 104 213 02 - M12x1.5x80 which is used on the rear suspension of Audi A4s

Well i'm just finishing off now, assembly is easy as i have all new bits, taken my all of this morning to free of the ******** track rod end. And get the adjuster out. I'm not going to replace the arms just now as its a real nightmare to undo the bracket on the steering rack, but at least i will have new top mounts, drop links, trackrods, bottom ball joints.

Just got to save up again now to do the polyflex bushes!
Thanks for all the info and support, i was about ready to have a brake down, its not as if i have the longest temper! I suppose the other night i could have been described as apoplectic!

Also wierd thing, I had a blue top mount one side and a green the other, the green seemed to be in better condition that the blue, who replaces only one top mount?

Hope this actualy makes an improvement to the feel of the car, hopefully be a bit more stable!

            Michael
