    aluminium subframe bushes/mounts

    whats the purpose of these?

what do they replace? do they solidly mount the subframe to the car, as there appears to be no bubber bushes or anything?

    are they good/reccomended?

they replace the worn out rubber bushings that mount the subframe to the car. yes they are solid, and i feel they are a good thing. going on both my drag chassis coupe and my street car as well.

i have not heard much complaining about road noise, but it is possible that more could be transmitted to the chassis.

The Superflex polys are a good compromise - excellent quality and no additional harshness or road noise

had them on much missed 90 20v q what a difference they made, no increase in noise or vibes just brilliant handling, with proper shocks and new other bushes it made the handling telegraphic, the best handling quattro i have ever had.............. do it you won't regret it

How long would it take a competent mechanic to fit these? Im looking at some on ebay at the moment.

I would also like to know if, hypothetically, it is posible to fit these without upsetting your geometry.... I have just had mine sorted, but would quite like to fit these, it just adds another 100 quid to the bill though....
