    034 motorsport bushings, too small?

hi i got my control arms back today, @ the rear the holes for the bushings are in diffrent size, so the bushings wont fit. and in the front the holes are too small,

am i missing something in my controlarms?

these are measurements on rear control arm

    front bushing hole: 41mm
    rear bushing hole: 52.5mm
    and the bushing is 44mm

why is it like this? any wrong with my controlarms?

One thing i've learned we are way behind the Scandinavians!

on US Coupe Quattro with cast front control arms, the cast arms (front) take a larger bushing than the rear stamped arms.

and when you remove the old bushing, you have to remove the sleeve as well. the center sleeve, the rubber bushing material, and the outer sleeve.

and again, the stamped rear arms bushings are smaller.

lind4hl: are you talking about the rear lower control arms? there must be only one version, maybe you left the outside metal of the original bus in the hole. snap a pic. The upper ones are cast or pressed...

talking about the lower, the problem is that the hole is bigger than the big bushing from 034 motorsport, pics tomorrow

I've just measured some front cast arms and they are 43.5mm, are you sure you've removed all the old bush and that the old steel sleeve is still not in the arm?

When he said front and rear holes I thought he meant on the front and rear arms

is there any poly kits that fit the rear end of the s2 avants or should i make some more than 1 kit?

it would be 80£ or something like that, now only look up what red poly costs if i make them myself..

                              no more delrin bushings
