    PAS leak

Found a leak today, no idea where it came from but I went to move the car and there's oil on the drive. It's coming from the metal shielded hose that goes across the front of the radiator from the res area to the PAS pump.

Any ideas on part number or price?

Firstly, I would clean it off and check the tightness of the clips.... mine leaked also, but found one of the crappy jubilee clips was not tight - and when I tried to tighten it the screw just turned round and round. Could be either end, as both on mine were loose...

Then, after ruling that out.... time to change bits...

The pipe can be replaced with a normal one core hydraulic hose, the joining hose which fits onto the pump which is formed with the banjo fitting on costs about 100 notes from the stealers. So im guessing the other one across the radiator would be very expensive!!!!

It doesn't even have to be hydraulic pressure hose as it's the gavity feed from the reservoir and isn't under any pressure, just needs to be quailty hose resistant to mineral oil.

They do tend to leak from the ends due to loose clips or fatigued rubber hose. Rule that out first replacing the stupid Audi clips with jubilee clips as previously stated.
