2.0 ACE 16v Help
I have no acces to any other forum where I could ask this question.
I ordered a set of lowering springs for my 1994 16v ACE coupe -40mm. They arrived but when I started to fit them I realised the rears were incorrect. The internal diameter of the springs supplied was too small as the spring would not go over the bump stop nor sit properly in the spring cup. Fronts appeared fine. On returning to the supplier I was informed that I had NOT ordered the wrong springs. I did check and double check with their fitment list!
My question is, are there different rear shock units fitted throughout production of the ACE coupe? My car is 40k original miles with full history and has never been fitted with aftermarket shocks?
