Anybody seen KYB shocks before?

I found one in the front of my avant, much smaller diameter than stock Boge unit. As soon as i cracked the strut cap loose it flopped around inside the strut. At a guess there meant for 4cyl cars. Anybody know anything about them, never seen them mentioned here?

Loads of jap cars have them as OEM dampers - i used to have some adjustable KYBs on my S14.
They were good dampers - better than Koni IMHO

So they are half decent, even if they are Japanese

I found the product catalogue and the part number is listed for a 2.8V6 not an S2. And i only have one as the other side was a Boge shock, so in the bin with em.

Who knows what i'll find in the rear of the car....

I have KYB Shox on my beetle. There ok and they are quuite stiff. They are used alot in the old beetle scene!
