  • lower strut bolt holes (I need to enlarge them)

I got replacement front hubs carrier and they're for 14mm bolts. While my strut tubes are for 12mm bolts and have coil overs on them allready. Anyone happen to have a strut tube laying around and would give me a measurement of what size it is ? I'm hoping to use a unibit and ream it out to 9/16" which equates to 14.2875mm. They make metric versions of the unibit but i don't have much of a desire right this moment to spend money on one when the american standard should work fine.

    make sense? opinions?

    thanks
    Josh

    .

Usual clearance is about 0.5mm, so 14.5mm. Might be abit 'tight' at 14.2...but try it and see...just make sure you hold the strut down firmly so you enlarge the hole centrally.

    Prefer a drill myself...cant be that expensive...cheapskate...
