Do i need all this lot?

I emailed 034 to sort out the bits i want to stiffen everything up. I want to do the rear diff mounts, engine mounts, transmission mounts and then im going to polybush the wishbones. The reply i got was to get this lot:

Do i need all that lot? Bit confused on the diff mount as there seems to be quite a few listed.

the poly diff mount (apicol) is for avant only.coupe is different.

i currently have the gearbox mounts (street density) and modified the rear diff mount.IM going to be installing the engine mounts(street density) next year. I think the street density is enough for everyday use.Anything more than that, pretty much makes the car a weekend deal only.
But then again different people have different thresholds on how stiff the car should be...

it says on the website that it will fit all B4 audis. definately wont then as i dont want to spend all that money on it if it wont fit.

        The coupe isn't a B4

You've already got a list from me. If you are taking the struts and subframes off then do it once and do it properly. Get either powdercoat of POR15 on the metal parts and even springs, sort the diff and gearbox mounts and get the suspension correctly rebuilt. Worth every penny in the long term. I did mine with just OE items and the results were superb. The car is still tight 3 years later.

2nd and 3rd item are avant only, for the coupe diff you need the last item X2 (same as gearbox mounts), and a rear mount which they havent listed.

the 034 rear diff mount is a delrin one so basically a solid mount, not the best match to density line mount IMHO better off with a powerflex one. the track density is what i'm fitting to mine and the cars i have been in its got a fair bit of vibration so not a daily for most as A80avant said....

I think this diff mount you need for the rear of the diff:

Double check because I could be wrong. I'm going to be using track density front mounts for the diff and powerflex on the rear.

Yep thats the rear mount, though i believe there a pain in the butt to press in. Audi only sells the complete unit, i.e. bushing already pressed into the alloy mount.

this is the *delrin* coupe rear diff mount.coupe rear diff mount
you need to push out your stock bush then press this one in, but you definately need a press for it, went up to about 5 tonnes when pushing mine in if memory serves!!!! the powerflex you can push in by hand, the powerflex is found here:powerflex coupe quattro bushes its number 7 on the diagram although you may find it cheeper on ebay or other places.

*EDIT* should have read again as i didnt see the density line rear mount.....think that could be a very popular choice. has anybody fitted one of these??

That's a delrin mount...solid by all accounts...I would go for a powerflex one, unless you're wanting it solid mounted?

My s2 is a weekend toy so i would like it as tight and focused as possible and to handle aswell as an S2 can.

i had the one you have linked to on my car and i can tell you it is not poly! unless it has a massive ammount of filler in it since it is a brittle material and it cannot as they say 'joyfully push in the 034 Poly mounts' you need a press as they are SOLID very good as far as tight, but if you have the density tranny mounts then its not a good combo IMHO, there are 3 mounts so forces are spread out, one solid and 2 flexible will be putting an increased force through the rear mount, i would get either the density line 034 one linked by Mikeraz1 or the powerflex one linked by me.....i'm guessing the 034 density will be the best match tbh, cant go too far wrong with either.

if you do want it as tight as is humanly possible then get solid all round with the 034 motorsport ones but be prepared for some noise!

I wouldn't uprate the rear mount, did that on my Coupe and hated it, yes it made the driveline tighter but you can feel it.

Get a new OEM bushes instead if possible.
