never driven the RS2 . My car is very hard. I used to own a coupe it was pretty soft compared to this so I think i have uprated springs @ standard height. RS2 bars here I come
My car is pretty neutral, by when 4 up it under steers like mad, any suggestions on the bset way to reduce this but not upset the car when only 2 up
As far as i know the shocks are standard but the springs feel pretty firm, no poly bushes and standard roll bars
Paul
Paul the way to reduce understeer is to stiffen up the rear ARB. If you do swap both then you reduce body roll and this helps. 6 of one and a half dozen of the other!.
I have just spent hours swapping the ARB rubbers and drop link isolating rubbers on the Mondeo and it has made a spectacular difference
Check the condition of your ARB rubbers etc. this may help, The front ARB was ok but the rear was badly corroded and worn. 18mm bar worn to 16.5mm!

David.
P.S. if you take the labradors and slippers out out of the back it will help with the handling.
My rear bar is deffo corroded as last time i had it on the ramp i could move it about, you could actually see where the bar has worn away. Many moons ago i replaced the rubber front bushes in my cossie for poly and as u say great improvment. Looks like I will just have to uprate everything as i go.
labradors and slippers. Nah I only have a Jack Russell and some trainers
I've got the RS2 ARBs and dampers along with H&R springs and poly bushes up front. It's made a hell of a difference to the handling and the ride is not a lot harsher than standard.
You can still get it to understeer if you don't put enough power down on roundabouts and really tight corners but that's down to lazy driving and not the suspension.

I have konis with standard springs which gave a firm ride but did still understeer. Recently put RS2 arbs front and rear and it is now a lot more neutral.
I also think the arbs make it feel more stable over uneven ground.
Are your springs standard height and where did you get them from.
Paul
The springs are RS2 spec H&Rs. They lower the car by about 30mm. They are silly money (£285+VAT IIRC) and the S2 version is probably not a lot different.
Below is a pic showing the ride height (although it has sunk a little more since the picture was taken):
