    Possible FARB issue.

I seem to have a possible front anti roll bar mount issue. It seems to be knocking under acceleration, just a loud clunk. I believe it's the FARB mounts which have a bit of wear, there's a tiny bit of play on it.

I'm planning on replacing them, but was wondering if there's any particular ones to go for, or is it a case of any you can get held of so long as they fit?

Any suggestions on where to get them from?

    Thanks

Will do, though they seem ok with no play! And it passed it's MOT just a few weeks ago, and it's been doing it for a few months now, but too many other things to sort out, so thought I'd do it now whilst the weather's nice...

And, any suggestions where to get wishbone and FARB mounts from?

think you can now get poly ones from powerflex but not 100% sure as i have oem on mine in both locations for the moment and just alloy subframe mounts.

For OEM go to S2avant on here through his TPS...though I think he might be away currently as i have a potential order sat in his inbox

Just looking on the Powerflex website, and can't decipher which parts I'd actually need.

Is it an 80-90 Avant (76-96), or an 80-90 Avant quattro (92-96) RS2 (94-96), or an 80-90 Avant quattro (83-96)?

I'd guess it's the same option as the RS2 one, if so, which one is it once on that page as there's 5 different sizes listed, ranging from 23.5mm to 27mm for front ARB mounts... To say I'm confused doesn't quite sum it up!!

                It's for a '93 S2 ABY Avant.

Also, just looking at the Superflex page, and the same prblems arise there with the options, but, the prices look to be alot cheaper, and looking at SuperPro's website, it seems they do kits too, however the dates only apply upto 1992, however mine's a 1993? Are they the same...?

The 26mm superflex items should fit an RS2 FARB. I had some 24mm ones accidentally fitted to my S2 FARB (26mm) and they were fine, currently got 24mm items on my 25mm RARB too. You want the later type for the 2 bolt cups. Just looked and they do a specific RS2 one, 28mm.

                      Thanks Rusty,

It's a '93 S2 Avant, would it use the same as an RS2 item?

i have alloy subframe bushes, powerflex bushes all round othe rthan that. i used standard rubber on the ARB.

i think liks too as i get the odd clunk now after 12 months or so and they were the only part i didn't change.

have whiteline done a link kit like the subaru ones for the S2?

nope - but TBH I don't see that it would offer anything, our links don't have any flex in them anway and are reasonably cheap to replace
