    Inverted shocks

Just had a Bilstein setup fitted to my BMW and the front shocks are invereted, they have massive diameter shafts so are stiffer and move the weight away from the unsprung side! Anything like that available for the S2?

I don't know the part number, but the "upside-down" bilsteins are available for Audis also.

That's how they are standard from Bilstein for the S2

All stock parts, IIRC you don't fit bump stops that's about it

caps are bilstein and they have proprietary rubber bellows from memory but as jamo says you can't use the oem bumpstops as wrong diamter, plus the bumpstop is internal in the billies from memory

I've got a pic of the B6 which is used on our cars somewhere, will post up

to Rusty (at #7 above) some questions re: in your photo...

Is that a main spring seat cushion of what, rubber; or synthetic material? Is it an OEM part? Is it easily compressible/compliant or very tough and unyielding? Do they wear out? Is there also one for the upper perch? My North American Coupe had none. I made some out of polyurethane. My lower perch looks like this (photo below), is yours the same, or is this strut (in your photo) not from a B3 or B4 type car? Thank you sir.

One advantage of the large strut tube on bilsteins is they flex less. i.e. help prevent the steering from binding up under power. Something FWD Audis always suffered from.

Had this with the trackday tyres on, wondered what caused it.

Indeed, it's off an E30 318is, as per my sig.

That is exactly the sensation I had after installing the poly spring isolators, still with OEM dampers. You can read more here:
