    urS6 rear suspension - adjustable

Hi - wonder if anyone knows the answer to this one:

My urS6 Avant is running on Sachs suspension (I have to admit, I'm not sure exactly which type, but it's pretty low). It's fantastic on the track, but not great on anything but the smoothest roads. A number of times there's been quite a 'ban'g from the back when going over uneven parts of the road (presumably hitting the bump stops, but again not too sure).

So my question is - does anyone know of any adjustable rear suspension that would fit a urS6 Avant. My wallet is hoping that nobody does...

    Cheers,
    Tom

Sounds like the Sachs Sport set. I ran this for a few years and it is extremely low. I destroyed my skid plates that protect my cats. I got tired of dragging over speed humps in the parking garage and changed it all to Bilsteins and H&Rs(29771).

I still own the springs, but the shocks, which are oil filled by the way, all blew out eventually. One day when I'm not driving the car so much I plan on putting the Sachs springs back on with a set of Koni yellows.

Great - thanks for that info. Are these the Koni's you're referring to?

Shame they have to be out the car to adjust... Presumably it's not too hard to do though, as long as you can jack it up etc.?

Well, it's 3 nuts and 1 bolt+nut and you have whole rear strut in your hands. To be able to adjust while in car, you would need to make holes into chassis to be able to access to of the strut from trunk...
