RS2 Bilstein shock questions

My RS2 has almost done 200,000kms so its about time I replaced the shocks/dampers.

I was looking on motorsportworld.co.uk and found they list Bilstein shocks for the RS2, including Bilstein part numbers.

I have two questions:

1) They list two part numbers for RS2 Bilstein Sports Shocks (Rear):
BE3-6212 and BE3-6214. Which is the correct part number (the are both different prices)


2) I put the shock part numbers into google and this is what it came up with:

RS2 fronts: PE3-3086

RS2 rears: BE3-6212
When googled it came up with B5 S4 dampers http://www.stuttgartperformance.rpmw.../i-223092.aspx

RS2 rears: BE3-6214
When googled it came up with B5 S4 dampers as well but different

Does anyone know what the difference of the above numbers are?


Also does that mean that Bilstein share shocks between different Audi models ie, RS2 rear and B5 S4 rear?

i have used the 6212 with 20mm lower groove to match the height. I am not sure about the 6214,but i presume since they are named'sprint' rather than 'sport' on the bilstein catalogue, they may be lower shocks as well.(less travel) and may not need the extra groove.

Is the Bilstein Catalogue online? I just tried a google but it only came up with a US catalogue.

Also, BE3-6212 (RS2 rear shocks) are also the same part number for B5 S4 and B5 1.8T quttro sedan and avant.
