    aviation fuel

Does anyone know what difference it makes to an uncatted 20v turbo if you put either neat aviation high octane fuel in , or a mixture of 50% normal and high octane, cheers, bernie.

Pretty much nothing unless you map the ignition to take advantage of the higher knock resistance.

And it depends what fuel your get too, the most common stuff is 100LL, which is 100 octane, "low lead". You can easily get 98/99 octane at standard pumps, so its not really worth the hassle in my opinion.

The only ones that are worth it in terms of octane rating are so full of lead so will kill your LAMBDA probe, so unless you use an aftermarket ECU without a LAMBDA probe its no good running Avgas.
