I *think* the answer to that is no, it isn't possible. pm Raymor on here as he has knowledge of this. He sourced a set of urq hubs to solve the problem of fitment.

It is possible. And been done several times. You need hubs, legs, struts and front drive axles or outer CV joints at least. If you take whole drive axles, you need to swap the transmission or the drive axle flanges as well.

jon441cc did something along these line I think. Might be worth asking him / searching.

how different are 3b hubs and legs to b3 80q hubs and legs apart from the different pcd?

ive fitted legs and hubs and twin pot calipers to my 85 90q but it needed different outer cv's and the track was a bit wider. think its in my build thread on fans but i will have to have a look through it as its been a while:mischeif:

Ony difference I can think of is in the front bearing size. Some/all 80q have 75mm and s2/v6 others have 82mm.

I think jon had issue's with the front wheels being pushed to far out.

If it is possible to use the driveshafts that will be a good option and i'd have thought that would be possible.

If not I know a good home for the coil overs

try having a look on my 2tone90 thread on fans in case i put down in there at the time what i used but i could never track down the origins of my shafts as i went with a 20v hub to eric (nogin) house and matched the shafts to the hubs. i can remember that the inner cv's kept popping out as the origional 85 innercv's are held in place with a 5mm allen key and i tried to use the ones with a circlip style and they didnt work

give me a pm and il give you my number if you want to ask anything if your stuck

cheers, ill have another look on your thread on fans and get back to you

It will be running an aby 20vt with the stock tyoe 85 box and id like to use the s2 hubs (albeit the ones i have are from a 3b) I know the track will be wider, just trying to work out what shafts i can use. Will the aby inner cv's mount on the type 85 box and similarly on the rear?
                    Thanks

Right, S2 front lower wishbones will not work, have to get stamped wishbones and get ball joints for an 89 10v 80/90 which has the 19mm shaftwork.

The output flanges on the 016 box have to be changed to accomadate the s2 shafts an thus here comes the problem, i tried 5 and 6 speed flanges from s2's and neither worked

Someone may have been able to match them up wih something and made it work But going with Ur quattro struts and shafts saves alot of work

Only one I can think of is possibly the 200 20v 3b as the box is slightly different (more towards the 3b style and better ratios)

Leave it 4 stud for now. Get all the S2 stuff overhauled and powder coated, with pretty new bushes. Find an S2 box and rear diff. And then swap all this at a later stage....

Im thinking this might be the way to go but im using the funds from selling the 4 stud wheels and type85 suspension to pay you for fitting the aby. I might see if i can find a box and diff beforehand
