    Wheels In Motion!

Just got back from Wheels In Motion. Spent just over an hour there getting my car set up properly and how i wanted it.
Basically i have had new polybushes all round, new konis and H&R Springs with new top mounts and despite improving the ride i was not happy with how it was set up. When i had the polybushes done i got it aligned by a local company who put it back to factory 3b S2 settings as this was all they had. I let them do it as i wanted to go to GTI. However time and money have prevented me in getting it set up properly.
So i took the plunge and after much internet searching i settled on Wheels in Motion as they seemed to have a good reputation and reasonably priced. £95+Vat for a full alignment and set up. So the results. The car is transformed. Before the car tramlined a lot and would skip on the slightest bump. Give it any real stick round a bend and you felt like you were on ice. Now its so sure footed, feels sharp on turn in and fells a lot firmer. Cant praise them enough they really no what they are doing and its a brilliant system

The invoice says geonatry calibration. The angles and the computer readings were way above my head. Brilliant system though

Had a proper read through the paperwork they have given me. They set up the following:
Rear axle camber and toe and geomatrical driving axis
Front axle camber, caster, SAI (Whatever that is), Track differential difference, toe
They also looked at the caster ofset, the rolling force lever, front and rear setback and wheelbase difference, latteral ofset and axle ofset.
Still not got a clue what it all does but certainly makes the car drive 100 times better

i used to use a beissbarth machine at my previous employer to set up the 997 gt3 and day to day porsches

they are an awsome piece of kit, would never bother with laser alinment again, the differance from setting a car with laser track and propper camera alinement are worlds apart.

They used a hawk eye system. Brilliant bit of kit but not just that it was Tony's knowledge. He has set up numerous race cars and has a good reputation

They were recommended in another topic on this forum, saved their website from then as I want to have my car aligned when I've finished all the work.
