    Cast wishbones

    Morning all,

Just a really quick thought thathas been bugging me for a while.

Looking at cast wishbones correct me if I am wrong but they have the same alignment and central point for both left and right hand sides.

So if that is the case, as on our cars we do not use the roll bar attatchment section, surely we can just flip a passenger side on to a drivers side by changing the orientation of the bolts that hold the ball joint??????

I know it is mad but I have two passengers side ones in the boot of the car (been clearing out the shed) and just looking at them got me thinking a little bit.

    Cheers all.

Have a look see what I mean.......

I've noticed the same thing with the pressed ones, not 100% sure if they could be used on either side but I don't see why not.

Will look into a bit further then, goemetrically they are the same just the pins/bolts are on opposing sides making them handed and the "top" side has a larger protrusion around where the antiroll bar would have attatched. Will see how easy it is to remove the bolts

Don't see why not. I'm using URq front wishbones on the rear of my CQ on the opposite side to normal as they are symetrical

not sure how easy it will be to remove the bolts though as IIRC they are pressed in..
